What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files or similar storage technologies placed on your device when you use a website. They let the server recognize your browser between page loads so that preferences, saved lists, and basic session state survive a refresh. ClipClop uses a limited first-party set: the Quote List saved in your browser, language preference, and anonymous service measurement. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, third-party retargeting, or customer authentication.

Cookies on this site are set by the clipclopbike.com domain only. None of them are shared with advertising networks, social media platforms, or analytics providers that profile you across other sites. Where a tool would normally rely on a third-party script, we instead self-host an equivalent measurement so the data stays inside our first-party boundary. Where self-hosting is not technically possible, the feature is omitted rather than introducing a tracking dependency.

// 02

How long cookies stay on your device.

Strictly necessary cookies expire when you close your browser or sooner; the Quote List state is kept in localStorage under the key ccbike-quote-v1 and is cleared as soon as a quote is submitted successfully or you empty the list manually. Functional preference cookies last up to twelve months so that the language you picked still applies on your next visit. Analytics cookies, when enabled, persist for a single calendar day and contain no personal identifier, only a per-day visit counter.

You can clear every cookie we set at any time through your browser's privacy or history panel. Removing them does not delete anything from the Quote List flow that lives on our server — that data only exists once you submit the form — and clearing local browser storage simply returns the site to its out-of-the-box state on your next page load.

Browser-level controls.

Beyond the in-page toggles above, every modern browser exposes a privacy panel where you can block all third-party cookies, wipe the existing cookie jar, or ask the browser to ask you before a site sets a new cookie. Most browsers also support a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal; we honor that signal by treating it the same as a disabled functional/analytics toggle. If you block strictly necessary cookies at the browser level, parts of the site (saving your Quote List between pages, remembering language choice) will stop working until you re-enable them — that is expected, not a bug.

For questions about this policy, the cookies we set, or how to exercise any rights granted by your local privacy law (GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and equivalents), email privacy@clipclopbike.com. The contact on our Privacy Policy page lists the data controller (Guangzhou ClipClop Technology Co., Ltd.) and the response window we work to.
